18-Platform Healthcare Integration: Red Mountain's Digital Spine Built on Salesforce

A multi-location weight loss and aesthetics chain needed every patient touchpoint unified — from POS to pharmacy, scheduling to shipping. Cloud Nerd delivered an enterprise Salesforce Health Cloud implementation that connected all 18 systems across 26 weeks.

Data migration

The challenge

Red Mountain's rapid clinic expansion had left its technology stack completely fragmented. Patient records lived in Envision Cloud. POS ran through Eposly. Prescriptions were managed in MDScripts. Appointments in DayBack. Inventory in Sage Intacct. Telehealth in Doxy.me. None of these systems talked to each other — and none talked to Salesforce. Staff were manually bridging every gap, creating risk and degrading the patient experience.

The approach

Cloud Nerd led a comprehensive discovery sprint with Red Mountain's clinical, operations, and technology leadership to map all 18 integration points and sequence 12 agile sprints. The team configured Salesforce Health Cloud as the unified patient record, built the Experience Cloud patient portal, integrated every clinical and operational platform, and executed a four-phase data migration from Envision Cloud.

The outcome

For the first time, Red Mountain operates a single patient record that unifies scheduling, clinical notes, prescriptions, lab results, POS transactions, and patient communications. Automated commission reporting replaced monthly manual reconciliation. The architecture is documented and ready to support new clinic openings.

The problem

What was actually broken

01

18 disconnected clinical and operational platforms

No two systems in Red Mountain's technology stack shared data — leaving clinicians, front desk, and administrators manually bridging gaps between patient records, prescriptions, scheduling, and billing.

02

Prescription workflows not connected to the patient chart

MDScripts and Pharmetika were completely isolated from the clinical record — physicians had to toggle between systems to order, verify, and track medications for every patient.

03

POS transactions disconnected from commission reporting

Eposly transaction data never flowed into Salesforce, forcing the operations team to manually export, reconcile, and calculate employee commissions every month.

04

Historical patient data locked in Envision Cloud

Years of patient records, visit history, and clinical data existed only in the legacy Envision Cloud system with no clean migration path to Salesforce.

How we did it

The work, phase by phase

    Weeks 1–4

    Architecture & Sprint Planning

Cloud Nerd facilitated a comprehensive scope checkpoint with Red Mountain leadership, built a complete user story backlog across 12 two-week sprints, and produced solution designs for all 18 integration points.

    • Full user story backlog across 12 sprints
    • Solution design documents for all 18 platform integrations
    • Salesforce Health Cloud base configuration with security model
    • User profiles, roles, and permission sets
  2. 02
    Weeks 5–20

    Core Platform Development (Sprints 1–8)

The core Health Cloud platform and primary integrations were built sprint by sprint — Experience Cloud patient portal, Lightning Scheduler, Eposly POS, Shopify, Sage Intacct, and Slack.

    • Salesforce Health Cloud patient record model
    • Experience Cloud patient-facing portal
    • Lightning Scheduler for appointment booking
    • Eposly POS integration (card-on-file and transaction history)
    • Shopify ↔ Salesforce sync via eShopSync
    • Sage Intacct Advanced CRM module and inventory sync
    • Slack for Salesforce clinical notifications

    Weeks 17–26

Clinical Integrations & Data Migration (Sprints 9–12)

The most complex integrations — MDScripts pharmacy, Doxy.me telehealth, Care360 and Sonora Quest labs, and Shippo shipping — were delivered in the final phase alongside a four-phase Envision Cloud data migration.

    • MDScripts / Pharmetika prescription integration
    • Doxy.me telehealth appointment integration
    • Care360 and Sonora Quest lab order integration
    • Shippo shipping integration
    • Dell Boomi and Zapier middleware orchestration
    • 4-phase data migration from Envision Cloud (test, verify, baseline, delta)
    • Formstack forms integration

    Post-Launch

    Handoff, Documentation & Staff Augmentation

Cloud Nerd provided a structured post-launch staff augmentation with an embedded Architect, Developer, and Data Migration specialist to resolve post-launch tickets, document all integration flows, and produce a comprehensive Admin Guide.

    • 40 L4 architecture and ERD diagrams
    • 20+ post-launch bug tickets triaged and resolved
    • Complete data migration documentation (mapping, process flows, sequence order)
    • MuleSoft flow backup and documentation
    • Admin Guide with APEX test class coverage documentation
    • Full credential and access transfer to Red Mountain team
