The challenge

Badgley Phelps had operated on Junxure CRM for years, but the platform's limited workflow automation, poor integration ecosystem, and aging architecture were increasingly constraining advisor productivity. Most advisor tasks were still manually triggered. Integration with portfolio management tools like Orion required workarounds. Client data quality was inconsistent across advisor books of business.

The approach

Cloud Nerd implemented Salesforce Financial Services Cloud with full Household, Client, Financial Account, Asset, and Opportunity modeling — deploying five customized FSC Action Plan workflow templates and configuring the Orion Advisor Services AppExchange integration. Junxure data was exported, mapped to the FSC data model, validated, and imported across multiple data tables. Salesforce Inbox was deployed for advisor email integration.

The outcome

Badgley Phelps advisors now work in a purpose-built wealth management CRM with native Household relationship modeling, FSC-specific data objects, and automated action plans — a significant upgrade from Junxure's generalist architecture. Orion portfolio data flows directly into Salesforce records.

Most advisor tasks — financial planning reviews, annual review scheduling, client onboarding — were still manually created in Junxure with no automation, leaving significant room for missed touchpoints.

Connecting Junxure to Orion Advisor Services required manual workarounds — advisors couldn't see portfolio performance data in the context of the client record without switching systems.

Without a unified data model and validation rules, each advisor team had developed their own conventions for household naming, relationship tracking, and account classification.
