The challenge

Heritage Investors produced financial statements and invoices manually — files downloaded from Clearwater into Google Drive, manually sorted, merged with cover letters, and sent to clients or FedEx for printing. There was no client portal for self-service access to statements. Data lived in Satuit CRM with no direct integration path to a modern platform.

The approach

Cloud Nerd implemented Salesforce Financial Services Cloud with full Household and Financial Account data modeling, deployed Salesforce Shield encryption across 15 objects, and built a fully automated statement and invoice distribution pipeline using Zapier, Conga Composer, and custom Salesforce batch jobs. An Experience Cloud investor portal was configured for client self-service access. All 20 Satuit data tables were migrated via CSV imports.

The outcome

What was a multi-hour manual process now runs as an automated Salesforce batch job. Finance staff manage exceptions rather than operations. Clients log into a branded Experience Cloud portal to access statements at any time. Institutional-grade encryption is deployed across all sensitive objects.

Statement distribution was a fully manual process

Every statement cycle required staff to download files from Clearwater, sort them by client, write and attach cover letters, merge PDFs, and manually route to FedEx, email, or print — a process ripe for error.

No investor-facing portal

Clients had no self-service way to access their financial statements or invoices — every document request went to the Heritage operations team.

Satuit CRM had no integration path to Salesforce

The incumbent CRM required a full manual CSV migration — there was no API or direct connector available to move historical client and account data cleanly.

No field-level encryption for sensitive investor data

Satuit provided no field-level encryption, leaving sensitive investor financial data exposed at rest — a compliance gap for an institutional investment manager.

    Weeks 1–6

    FSC Foundation & Data Model

    Cloud Nerd configured the core Salesforce FSC platform with Household, Client, Financial Account, and Opportunity objects. Ten Action Plan workflow templates were deployed. Salesforce Shield encryption was configured across 15 objects.

    Zapier monitors Google Drive for new statement files from Clearwater, imports them into Salesforce as matched Financial Account records, triggers Conga Composer to generate and merge a personalized cover letter, and routes the final document to FedEx, the Experience Cloud portal, or direct email.
